Baby, It's Cold Outside

Yesterday in Big Spring, the high was in the 70's if not 80. A cold front blew in Wednesday night, bringing with it snow! We woke up this morning to see a white blanket spread over the ground. Tonight is supposed to be even colder, but without the snow. We took the photo opportunity today and got some pictures of the snow itself and Will playing in it. I think he liked it as long as his hands were properly gloved :)

A view from our porch.
Our backyard.

Our house ("...is a very, very, very fine house...").

Backyard Fun

Will loves the lawn mower, blower, and anything mechanical such as that. He always wants to "touch it."

Close up!

Hmm...what's in here?

Aha!

Fun with Family

Here are a few pictures from our Thanksgiving trip to San Antonio. We had a great time seeing family!

My grandma, Will, and my dad
Grandpa, Nana, and Will

Grandpa Tim getting in his last good-bye kisses.

Cousins--Cade and Will. Cade's mom is 13 months older than me and we always had a lot of fun playing when we were kids. She is now expecting number two in late April!

Sunday School

I have always wanted to get a picture of Will in his Bible class, and I finally remembered the camera this Sunday. He was supposed to move up out of the cradle roll class this quarter, but his class didn't make, so we kept him in there for a while longer. Notice how much bigger he is than little Tavyn, who is about 4 or 5 months old! Oh, well...don't they look cute in their little seats? Even "Bear" has his own seat :)

Outside with Papa

Scott's parents came to visit this weekend. Here are a few shots of Will in the backyard with Papa. Will dubbed Harvey as "Papa" and LaDon as "Granny" or "Grammy" (we still haven't figured that one out yet! Time will tell). It was a good visit and we are looking forward to seeing them again at Christmas-time.

Say Cheese!

"Cheese!" New pictures, as promised to Nana...

This one is blurry, but it's still cute! Notice the bowl and shredded cheese all over the floor in the background. I gave Will some to snack on because he seemed to like the few pieces I'd handed to him while I cooked tonight. He seemed to enjoy dumping it all over the floor much more than eating it!

What a cute pair!

Here he is examining the butterfly on my shirt.

Will's favorite new word is "want." Here, he is saying that new word and pointing to one of several cups that were awaiting the dishwasher.

Will News

My mom asked me for new pictures tonight and I intended to share some. Then I realized that I have no new pictures to share! Sorry, mom, tonight you will just have to do with a few little blurbs about Will's progress. I will post new pictures soon, I hope. I just have to wait for Will to wake up in the morning so I can take some :)

Will continues to amaze us every day. He will pick out the most random things and tell us what they are. For example, he has a bib with lots of numbers all over it. He will always point out the four. Then the other day in the check-out line at the grocery store, he kept saying "tree" or "free" over and over again and pointing up. That's when I realized he was pointing at the number three on the sign at the next check-out lane. Then the other day, he picked out the number ten. He is also getting better with his shapes and colors. He is growing and developing so fast, I can't keep up with him.

He is growing physically, too. He now has 10 teeth, and two more are almost totally pushed through his gums. Wow, 12 teeth! It's a struggle to get him to let me brush them, but I still attempt it daily. He has a toothbrush that lights up and blinks for 60 seconds (the length of time you are supposed to brush) and baby toothpaste that tastes good and is okay to swallow. I will put the tooth brush in his mouth and he immediately sucks all of the toothpaste off. Oh well. He is also wearing a lot of size 18 month clothes now. His waist is still tiny and his 12 month pants are fitting him really well now, but the 18 month shirts are where he needs to be. He has been wearing his 12 month pajamas since he was 11 months old or so, so they are getting pretty worn out. It's nice that he fits into the 18 month size so we can give those old p.j.'s a rest. He has also gone up a size in diapers. Growing like a weed...

You all know that a couple of months back I was kind of sad because Will seemed to only want his daddy. Well, he has finally realized that Mama is pretty neat, too. He often calls for me and asks his daddy where I am when I am at work or in another room. He seems to be sharing his love more equally these days. That makes me happy :)
